Webfangled have developed an utility that calculates the distance between two postcodes. This is done using a database of postcodes and their latitude and longitude coordinates.

The main use for this is for a branch locator where users enter their postcode and are given the a list of the closest branches or all branches within a specified distance.

To show this working in its simplest form enter two postcodes below to calculate the distance between them.
